PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Layout Design with Altium

This course introduces the students to the process, tools, and methodology of PCB layout design using Altium Design (Formerly Protel 99). With our hands-on approach, students will acquire basic to advanced skills in the use of current PCB layout design software and techniques. Schematics, printed circuit board layouts, symbols, and wiring diagrams will be produced on CAD workstations; terminology and the manufacturing process of printed circuit boards will also be covered. Developed in accordance with advanced design methodology, this course prepares students for entry- to mid-level PCB layout design. The following subjects will be covered:

• Draw Schematic: Make symbols ( BGA , FPGA) and connection all signal go

• Run Net List : check and run net list and synchronize to PCB lay out

• Bill of material : Create BOM by excel

• Build all Foot prints and set up LIB for Design Project

• Learn how to read data sheet and make a foot print

• Board out line and dimension : How to import from

• AutoCAD or solid work

• Part Placement :Learn how to put components on the Board

• Board Layout : Draw Board out line by Altium tool

• Set up constraint , design rule check

• Set up layer : layer stack up

• Set up color , set vias , set traces…..

• Prouting : Manually & Auto routing : Router Wizard

• Slip Plane : Power and Ground Plane :

• Polygon and copper pour : Negative & Positive Plane

• Gerber file : Do art work : Embedded apertures RS274X

• Assembly Drawing by Altium and Autocad tool

• Check and Create a Gerber and assembly zip file send them to Vendor
